Dash Warning Light

Hi,

Just thought Id post in case anyone can help, the forum seems a bit bare these days for A8 people.
Started my car up (A8 4.0 TDI 04 Plate) and the heat plug coil light started flashing and the yellow engine light stayed on.

I seem to be running on reduced power but the engine sounds and runs fine.

Is my only option to take this into audi to have look at and to diagnose? Ive read lots about a MAF sensor, is it worth getting that swapped out or cleaned if its possible to do? any help appreciated.

Have it looked at with VAG-COM. Not sure which version you need for your A8 but plenty of people here will tell you it is worth the investment.

You can always buy a cheap cable of ebay and use their evaluation software. Also, there are plenty of people on the forum who offer their services with it. Just do a search on here for it to find out more.

Had to go to Audi in the end.. It was a boost sensor, so car was down on power cos it wasnt boosting..
Part was only 43.00 which was suprising.. te labour still kills though. Glad for once it was a cheap fix.
