Coolant flush on the 3.0TDi

Planning on doing a coolant flush on my 3.0TDI and elsawin states use of the VAS 6096 coolant charge system. I've done coolant flushes on 4 cylinder engines which also state the use of VAS 6096 coolant charge system, and never had a problem just filling it up. Has anyone else done this or know of a good write-up for the VAG V6TDi engines.

Surely just taking off the bottom hose on the radiator should do the job then refill with G13?

elsawin makes it look very complicated, looks to be at least 3 hoses to detach to get the system to fully drain, and there are 3 air bleed points. I'm going to give it a go on Saturday and see how it goes.
