Spotted A Facelift With A Difference

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can clear this up. Yesterday I was in Motherwell and I spotted a '60' plate facelifted car. (Sorry I never took any pics.) But anyways it was definitely a facelifted A6 i.e. Rear with 4 tail lamps, newer bumpers, no side indicator lamps in front wings, indicators on the door mirrors! etc... But it didn't have 'DRL' front lights... I had a close peek as well! But definitely didn't... So what do you think happened here? Did some facelifted car's not have 'LED DRL's'
Just curious that's all..
