Just wondering if anyone has experienced worn bearings in a c6 manual 6 speed gearbox, from what I've read it was a common issue on the earlier A6 but haven't come across any complaints on these newer ones.
I had the front wheel bearings changed a year ago thinking it was one of them but the noise has progressively got worse since then, I have changed the discs and pads incase it was these but no different, I have noticed that the passenger side inner cv joint has is worn and has a little play in it but not sure that would give the same noise as a worn bearing.
My car is a 2005 2.4 if this makes any difference.
