Unhappy Audi Allroad 3.0TDI (2007) Which wheels & tyres

    Hi All,

    My Allroad is fitted with 19"x 8.5J 20 spoke alloys & 245 ZR's.

It's fine on good tarmac, but not so good with potholes & rough ground etc. However, it has beheved very well on recent ice & snow.

But I don't like the "wire wheels" look, it doesn't suit the nature of the car.

    I am considering fitting Audi 10 spoke alloys 18"x8J plus 245 Y tyres. (Ł850)

    Any suggestions !!!!

I have the 3ltr tdi with 18" alloys and it performs well. The only problem that I have had is that I'm running a well worn set of Michelin primacy tyres (down to about 4mm) which gave minimal grip in the snow.

For tyres I will probably go for goodyears as most of my colleagues have used them and have found them to be good and they are slighly cheaper than the conti's
