Hi.

I have the warning light saying there is a problem with my ABS. I have checked my fluid level and this is ok.

Would anyone have an idea on what to check next?

cheers

When i had this warning i thought it was going to be the ABS control module, but it ended up being the steering angle sensor (£260 part to replace and 30 mins to fit).

Basically i needed to go to a garage with a VAG reader to let me know what fault codes had been recorded. Good luck

thank you m8.

i will look into it

Need a vag-com to plug in mate, that'll tel you firstly if you can access the ABS Control module (if not it will need remanufacuring at approx £100) if you can get it it'll throw up some fault codes to check, usually a wheel speed sensor or something.

Oh and don't go doing any heavy braking as you won't have ABS if the light is on, it's a visual alert to tell you something is worng and so the ABS cannot function properly.

thanks for the reply m8. i have already got a cheap cable that i bought for my last a4. i will have a go with that and see what it brings up.
