Air con blowing hot and cold ????

After 10-30 mins driving (2005 A6) I get chilled air coming out centre vents and full heat coming out the others; side, windscreen etc.

Resets when ignition turned off.

Anybody point me in right direction before I pass my wallet to air con specialist?

It could be the climate sensor or a solenoid sticking. Its a problem that i have not heard of, but my money is on a sensor.

I'm sure I've read somewhere about this problem being a valve.
Have a search over on VWAUDI forum..

Apols for resurrecting an ancient thread but, Rabbid, did you ever sort this problem? My wife's 2006 A6 Avant 2.0TDI has just started doing the same thing, but randomly rather than after any specific time.

Anyone else had this problem and know the answer?

is this a C6..in the set up on a C6 the center vent is separate and you can set the temp. BUT there is defo an issue as I have had my C6 1 year and twice all the outer vents would only blow hot, I just set the temp to max and then min and it kinda sorted it. I've done nothing more as it now works, I will only get it fixed if it completley packs up.

Yes, it's a C6. Does exactly the same and have taken the same approach
