I have just had my car serviced and during the service it was noted that the Rear Transfer Box Seal needs replacing. I was quoted about 2 hours labour plus Oil and Seal. The Audi Seal was about £17. I told them to replace the Seal. When I collected the car the Seal was not replaced. The garage told me Audi say have replaced the Seal with a new part which was £150. The garage say that they can still get the Seal on its own but Audi will not guarantee the Seal if just the Seal is replaced. Does anyone know what the difference is between the Seal on its own and the new replacement part.
