Question HELP - Will S6 or RS6 seats fit in an Allroad??

If so, will they be a direct swap or will I need extras like the frames under the seats, electrical connectors etc? Has anyone done this before?

If your Allroad already has Electric seats then it will be a straight swap out, all the connections are the same, as long as the new seats come from the same chassis type.

Seats (and rest of interior) have arrived. No time to fit them yet, but will update when I do.

    Smile All done

All fitted fairly easily in the end. If you are considering this, stop considering and just DO IT!

Quick synopsis (use at your own peril) of what I did:
    1. Checked Airbag settings with VAGCOM - not strictly necessary but made me feel better (backed up with screenshots).
    2. Disconnected battery - MASSIVELY IMPORTANT!!!
    3. Be careful when removing seats to disconnect all the wiring. Don't worry about where it fits as Audi, unlike some others, makes all their pins different (if there are 4 clips for example, there will be a 2, 3, 4 & 5 pin connector), so you can't get it wrong!
    4. Removed all seats (back seats first, as this helps remove/install front seats). I found a very good guide for the back seat removal elsewhere on the net.
    5. Front seats - You can easily get at the front holding bolts for the Allroad by removing the underseat storage bin. Once these are undone the seat slides back and out - voila!
    6. Get the new front seats nearly in position and them reconnect the wiring BEFORE you put them in the runners.
    7. When putting the RS6 seats back in YOU MUST HAVE the original (or replacement) bolts from the RS6! The allroad/a6/RS6 use the same floor fixing point but the RS6 bolts are completely different as the seat is electric.
    8. Bolt them all back together and you're done :-)
    9. Reconnect the battery, ensuring nobody is near any of the airbags and hope.......
    10. Put key in ignition, stand well clear of airbags and start her up and, you guessed it, HOPE.......
    11. Assuming all is well, sit down and test the comfort/function of your new seats.
The front seat removal guide that I used was for a VW but worked pretty well:
    http://www.passatworld.com/forums/sh...removing+seats

I did the door cards too - couldnt have been easier! There is one trick - small(ish) screwdriver thru hole underneath armrest/window switch and lever back clip that holds switch in (while pulling up on it at same time), but you can get instructions for that elsewhere too.

Thanks to all who gave me advice or support.

Great write up Silverstealth. I'd love to see what the new seats look like in the allroad?

No worries mate, I can see your priorities are not going to be taking photos of car seats!!

    Congratulations on the birth.
