will a remap kill my car?

hello all ( im a newbie so bear with me)

ive just spent all my hard earned cash on an 07 a6 2.0 tdi and was thinking about remapping. you've probably had this thread a million times but can a remap damage my car in any way? i know nothing lasts forever but will it shorten the life of the engine? ps if i go with the remap i was thinking bluefin, do any of u have any reviews? cheers!

I've used the bluefin on a Golf GT 170 TDI and it's no problem at all. The only thing I do differently is to make sure the engine oil is changed frequently with the best quality oil. The service indicator always comes on at around 18k miles, I change oil myself at 9k. Always use the oil grade approved for the engine (VW 507). I hope this helps?
