My 1999 a6 4.2 Q no longer wants to start with the spare keys.. It still works fine with the regular key I use. Its just I went to use the spares a couple of weeks ago and I got the imobiliser light flashing on the dash and obviously the car wouldn't start.
The only think I can think of (although I think unlikely) is that its somehow got blanked or some how changed, the 2 spare keys - one with remote locking, and one without have been kept with all the other spare keys for my cars. The wife has a megane, and I also have an old mondeo.
Can anyone help - I fear it may be a trip to Audi - which I know is going to be expensive.
PS I have VAG com if that helps.
