is A6 Towbar the same as Passat

as title guys, i am looking for a second hand towbar and there is more available for the vw passat i was wondering as these cars are very similar if the towbars are compatable ? also is the a6 saloon and estate the same ?

any ideas ?

I`d be wary of fitting a second hand tow bar...I know a chap who did the same, hitched his caravan up and set off to Southern France. It cracked and he spent a long weekend in France trying to get someone to weld it back together.
