Well, as far as I can see, the only thing amiss with my new A6 is a faulty reading light on the driver's side.

Can anyone give me an idea how to replace the bulb, and where I might find one?

Thanks!

A.

Get your finger nails under the front edge (nearest the w/screen) of the whole unit & ease it out of the headlining. Unplug the connector & take out the three scews & remove the cover plate. There is a small stop plate at the end of the bulb. Swing this up out of the way. Twist the bulb & remove it towards the centre of the unit. You can get the bulbs from the Stealer, Halfords etc. They are 12volt, 5 watt. (This applies to the C5 A6 without sunroof, might be slightly different with a s/roof & don't know if C6 is the same).

Thanks Dave...

Sounds like a bit of a rigmarole...

I'll give it a try but I'm paranoid I'll make an **** of it!

Cheers,
A.
