bose concert system

hi can any body help me locate where the bose or any other amp might be fitted in the A6. i have a 1.9Tdi se(1998) it has a Audi concert system fitted with a sub woofer in the rear but i cant see the amp any where ive seen it mentioned in the manual but nothing regards location.

Usually attached to the sub it is about the size of a fag packet with a heatsink on it. Looks like it cost about 50p to make and should be powering a small transistor radio.
