Hello All

Quick question, my parking sensors have started to show signs of rust, they work OK but look a bit tatty, just wondering can they be stripped and painted or would that mess up the sensor. Or are they costly to replace.

Cheers

Mark

You will struggle cleaning them up - really you should replace the sensors.

Are they factory fitted or dealer fit?

Factory fitted are flush mounted (in a 23mm hole) and are fitted from behind.
You can get replacements from eBay - i have used these guys before, and they are good, inexpensive and reliable:

You can buy four from these guys for less than a single one from an Audi stealer!!!

If they are dealer fit, the sensors are slightly raised (sub-flush)
These are pushed in from the front, and sit in a 20mm hole.
Audi use an OEM version of the Cobra Parkmaster System.
You can buy these from here:

Again, less than half the price of Audi.

Stafford Audi sell them on eBay, but they are identical to the Cobra item:

Let me know if you need any more info.
