Brake light bulb removal

I know it sounds odd, but how do you change the bulb on the rear of a A6 saloon? I've removed the drop down panel and can see the back of the unit, but there doesn't seem to be any simple way of getting the bulb out - any idea anyone ?

there are two tabs, one either side that need to be pressed in. This releases the bulbholder unit in one piece and the bulb can then be changed

Cheers for that, I'll give it another look tomorrow (too dark now!). Of course there is nothing in the manual about any form of bulb replacement, it recommends you take it to the dealer !!
