Electrical Gremlins

My '99 A6 2.8 Avant has developed a few electrical gremlins which have left me a bit stumped.

Power steering packed up and the horn went off without being touched and continued to sound. The PAS has since returned and now seems fine but the horn no longer functions and the Airbag light is up.

Any ideas as to where to start the fault finding? Would VagCom be of any help?

VAG com would be first stop.

Power steering could be a relay cant remeber the number but i know there is one there somewhere. it governs the amount of resistance and some people put a switch in line to turn this off. search the forum for power steering weight or something.

Horn could be the connection ring or the alarm system if fitted.

All these should show on the diag in the elctrical system
