I have a 99 A6 4.2, great car - but a warning light - of headlamp alignment keeps coming on

I have had an engineer check this out and he can't find fault?

Anybody else had similar problems?

Any feedback appreciated

My 2001 A6 has the Xenons that are self levelling but the level sensor has gone. Its located under the front nearside wheel arch, if you put the whels on full left lock you can see it. Audi quoted me over £200 to fix it so i've left it for now, either its failsafed to lowest dip or happened to stick there but its not blinding anyone.

Hi I had this problem on my s6 put vag com on it and it showed front level sensor had failed. I had a spare one from an s4 so I fitted it, its easy to change. The dealer quoted me about £60 for a new one. Theres one front and one rear sensor both on passenger side. You may need vag com to set the level once you change the sensor.
