The reverse parking sensors have just started playing up.

It was all fine until a couple of days ago. Now, when it goes into reverse I get the initial beep, and then a constant beep tone - even if the sensors are miles away from anything.

It is really annoying!

Has anybody else had this? And is there an easy fix for it?

I can't imagine it's anything too dreadful, as sometimes it does still work properly. Bah.

Yes I did. But I only wiped them over with a cloth

To be fair, when I did that, they worked properly straight after, but then not since - so I thought that was just a coincidence.

Same happened to our 53 A6, I was going to look at it, but the front end of the car got wiped out by a bad parker, and as if by magic when the car came back from the repairers, they were working again!! I think I'd check all the connections around the front bumper first (more dirt etc I would think)

Aaaargh!

It's now five hours later and it's all working perfectly. Stupid things!
Has it been wet when you last drove it ? If so, could be a connection problem . . . but I know what you mean, the same symptoms happened to me, intermitant before stopping altogether
