Hi

I going to look at a 2001 tdi allroad with a full service history. It has done 108K miles. IS this a problem and what should I look out for?

Thanks

Mine is not an Allroad but as far as the similar bits are concerned:
Bought mine with FASH at 109000 and now 172000 no engine problems except new N75 valve and MAF. Long life servicing is working OK every 20000.
Cam belt done at 160000 ie 80000 interval.
Got it chipped soon after buying, recommend it, there's choices.
Have replaced both front CV joints and wheel bearings, offside front bearing twice. Have just been told one of front offside suspension arms is worn.
Still on original brake discs, clutch, exhaust, Xenons,
Quattros can have all 4 wheels aligned. Got my 4 wheel alignment done, looked like it had never been touched at back.
Auto dipping headlamp has failed, switch inside front nearside wheel arch needs looking at.
I have posted on mine all over the place, search for fjtwelve.

At 172000 it certainly is not the original disks i changed mine at 130 and i know in the service history they where changed at 76K If they are the originals then i would suspect the service history isn't up to scratch. VW are notorious for using soft compound disks. I know of VW group cars needing disks at 25K

Mine had full history including every single stupid thing down to 30P light bulbs on it.

Exhaust on mine is still original ABS unit needed repairing would have cost 1200-1400 from audi. Got it repaired with lifetime guarantee for £160

Else just Tyres and brake pads
