Adaptive air suspension on A6 Avant

I am due to order an A6 Avant 2.7 TDI SE in the summer and a number of reviews I have read have mentioned the adaptive air suspension and how good it is. I have even read a review which goes as far as to say it transforms the car.

Have any Avant owners opinions on their cars with or without the adaptive air suspension?

it is not a cheap option, but if you feel you can afford it go for it. The normal suspension is a bit on the firm side even in the SE version, Sline is hard! For long journeys air set to comfort is great, dynamic works OK but if you want fun set to sport. The drawback, if you are keeping the car for years is the cost and possibility of it going wrong.
