Hi Guys,
I have a 2000 A6 2.7 T Avant, love it very very much, I would love to know what sort of mods that people have done in a similar car.

I want to change the suspension, I can find new front shocks, but am told no aftermarket shocks exist for the rear ??? Audi want 75 +vat per shock - that can't be right ??

I am also looking at getting this car chipped, by APR I had superchips do my last A6 (1.8T)

So guys any ideas on both body and performance mods I would love to know as there does not seem to be many people playing with this car ???

Oh yer Hi to you all I love the threads I have seen and the photos !:respekt:

i have the 2.7t a6 saloon, engine is very moddable, depends on your budget how far you want to go. give MRCtuning.com a call they specialise in this particular engine, they have a 500bhp package on k04 turbos, thats a stage above rs4.

Hey Dummi, thanks for the link, I have emailed them.. So what you done to yours ??

well i'm rebuilding the engine at the mo, internals, heads, big turbos rs4 intake aiming for 600bhp ish after mrc remap it :) i'm a cheapskate so doing it myself but if i were buying mrc500 is a sweet transformation for the work

*MRC500 for the money

like you i had the a6 1.8t fwd handled like a dog the Q is much better for such a big car

as for the shocks i bought koni shocks with eibach's to fit before my engine caused trouble for about £400 from motorsportworld.co.uk , they can get hold of just about anything for any car if its on the market check their site think avants are listed

Got my shocks coming now - Well done Dummi, thanks for the link. Just goes to proove that this is the best place for knowledge:respekt:

I have only done a remap with AMD, but they were excellent and the car is transformed. It is Automatic and the transmission is not bullet proof, but it seems happy enough with this. The car is now 307bhp and 300 lb ft torque and beats most stuff when asked - especially mid range. Might go for a nice exhaust if mine ever gives up but it is hard to justify when the existing exhaust is OK.
