I am looking into purchasing a 2001 Audi A6 2.7t, with around 30k miles. Tornado Red, automatic, asking price $17k.

What kind of problems should I be looking out for? I know a good shop for a PPI, so I'm hoping that will uncover any major issues. Also, this is not a CPO car, but rather a "dealer certified" car...whatever that means.

Thanks! :rockwoot:

Check the suspension.

My 2.8 V6 audi is a 1998 model and was absolutely perfect when I bought it except for the suspension which I am in the process of completely replacing. Also check the CV joints for clicking whilst steering and accelerating.

ABS pump bosch 5.3 is prone to problems (audi want £1400 to repair if faulty knock it off the price. Can get it done for about £160), CV joint boots, wheel bearings, squeaky interiors, worn drivers carpets, brake rotors are prone for replacement every 40K or so, Cam belt changes suspension ball joints and rubber bushes.
Ithink thats all.

CB Boot can split, Audi battery only lasts 2-3 years, otherwise perfect.
