where is this wheel from?

I've just bought one of these 20" alloys to try on my a6 4.2 tiptronic. All I know it is from an A8 but have never seen these before.

My plan is to see if it fits ok (I think I'll need a small spacer as it's 8.5j) and if it suits the car then try and hunt down a set of them.......

anyway, here is the wheel (4eo071490666) any thoughts?

Those five spoke are quite popular, if you are going to invest on some new rims you should get some like this other chap on here!

what car are they on then? Nobody seems to know.......

those alloys are very nice on that link, probably out of my price bracket hence why i'll be searching on ebay for my 20's.

Yeah, those wheels are diamond cut dietrich wheels i think? maybe wrong.

They are expensive! i know that much, and on that wheel you've bought wot's the offset, because mine are ET35 on 8.5j (width) same as the ones u've got, so on ur wide archer S6 u'll need about a 20mm spacer allround i recon on 245/35/20's should be fine, maybe 255 on the rear as you said.

as i said i bought it as a test to see if it fills the arch up, the offset is et45 but i didn't think i'd need such a large spacer on that one.

i doubt i'd be able to source these second hand but it will give me an idea on what's compatible and how a large 5 spoke other than r6s's suit the car.

If they do suit and I can source them the plan would be to get the face taken back to the metal, pollished and laquered rather than the painted finish. having the flat front edge is just too tempting not to!

ok just been searching like a maniac as I was worried it may be a one off sample wheel or something!

found them on an A8 L QUATTRO 2005, typically in the states!
what do you guys think? Personally I like a lot and I think will look better on an A6 especially if the face was pollished and laquered rather than painted....... Just need to find another 3 now! Can't really see this happening but I can live in hope!
