hi m8 of mine is looking to get some new alloys for his A6 2.8Q 1999 he has the 16" 5 spoke competion allys at the mo he wants to goto 19" the multi spoke i call it "A8 type" however i feel that the RS6 5 spoke say 18" would suit better.

what are your thoughts? and pics would by great
also would he have to lower the car if he went for 18" or 19" rims ?

cheers

Personally, I like RS4s on an A6 - either 17s or 18s would definitely look better than the comps - although admittedly the RS6s are also nice... Choices, choices. Sorry, don't have any pics to hand at the moment.

rs6 rims on the a6 for me every time,

19's suit the car best. big but the car needs it! doesn't look over the top at all.

here's a pic of my avant with 19's, they may be up for sale shortly. I want £675 for the 4 with 4 matching pirelli p zero tyres, done about 2000 miles only so loads of tread - tyres cost me £185 each. not no cheap crap you get with budget packages

Here's mine with the 20's :)

Then before on std height on 18" RS6's (crap reps! don't buy replica rims, u get what u pay for!)

IMO the bigger the better, later C5 a6's were lowered 15mm as an upgrade to the handling, 18" rs4's give the car a nice look, but all are really common now and frankly there arn't many wheels which suit the A6 well so if in doubt, stick with oe design.

not really feeling rs4's on an a6. nothing personal just think they suit a4's much better

spanking a6 though! get those bottom plastic bits colour coded in red. makes such a difference for not a lot of money......

cheers can anyone find any pics with A8 allys?
cheers

Are they 7.5j's?

Did you have to do anything for them to fit properley?

i.e. spacers etc

i really couldnt tell you mate.....came on the car

i think they are 8J theres no spacers though and are ET35

theres no proplems with rubbing or fitment and they are replicas...

these are great wheels and you can now stat getting them on Ebay too!!
350 - 650 a set with tyres depending on size

Awesome wheels and awesome car. Great to see something different than the stock audi wheels.

If've got a set of Oettinger RE's 18" currently on my A4 (which is for sale) these wheel is a great fit for the A6 - had a set of RZ's (the Oettinger) 2 Piece on my previous A6 TDi Quattro - one of the things I liked with the Oettinger is that is correctly load rated for the A6.

These are in Anthracite and Silver - but they are also available in all silver, currently looking to buy an Allroad, might well go back to the Oettinger wheel although probably the single piece like those on the A4 as they are easier to clean
