well as most of you know i now have an Audi A6....

when i got it home the paintwork was very grubby... had lots of little imperfections in it... was covered in swirls... (The life of the car wash) the door shuts were minging, aswell as the boot shuts... the engine bay was dusty and the interior was abused.

well over the last couple of weeks i have owned it i have made a start on getting it upto my standards... cleaning a few bits here and there... getting the pine leaves, pine cones and acorns out of every place they could possibly fit....

also done a few subtle mods along the way... including

Debadging the rear of the car
Taking off the manky phone aerial
Painting the manky calipers red
Got rid of the manky orange indicator bulbs

and so i started detailing this morning at 10am and have just finished.....

i washed the car using the two bucket method
hydobladed it
leathered it
took all 4 wheels off and cleaned them using Wonder Wheels
polished the wheels and dressed the tyres
cleaned the arches inside out and put the wheels back on
clayed the whole car (fantastic stuff)
then polished it with Autoglym super resin
then waxed it with AG Ultra Gloss Protection
cleaned the glass and all the black plastics
hoovered and cleaned interior and doorshuts
washed and dressed the engine bay

heres the result:

It's called Megiars Quick Clay kit, it's about £12 from any good car bitz shop. it's basicially clay u wipe over the paint it removes dirt u'd never kno was there.

To this day the car I enjoyed driving the most and had the most fun in was my old cavalier.....sad but true. It was modified tweeked etc loved it. Was sad to see her go last year too. had a vectra disel for 3 weeks and got shot of - hated it, but jumped into the fire with a 2ltr cd vectra. It's so bland. I really need to get an A6.

BTW I'd never seen a red A6 i liked (bar the RS doo dahs) but yours looks very tidy indeed. Might have to open up my eyes to red and black A6's now
