HI all,

My A6 1998 Tdi Engine Code AFN, what version of VAGCOM software do I need and also what kind of cable?

Also where is the port located on the car please?

the port is under the cubby hole in the lower dash by the drivers door as far as leads go i got 1 from ebay and downloaded the software from vag com. Ver4.01 i think for USB.

if you have a serial port on your laptop, your cheapest and good bet is a simple KL serial cable. KKL cables will also work and they're more available now than KL. vagcom version 312 is more than adequate.
