My A6

I thought I'd put some pics up of my A6 1.8T. The first one is how it was when I bought it and the later ones are with the addition of 19" RS6 wheels. I'm going to get car lowered and remapped eventually

Nice and Shinny

That green looks rather nice in the photo's. You must have spent some time polishing to get that shine.

What year is it?

it's a 1998 model. I've eventually got my lowering springs to go on so more pics when it's done

Nice, although I thought it would look as though it sat lower on wheels that size, but I guess its just more rim diameter and less tyre profile.

How wide? 8.5?

What springs did you go for?

I thought the same mate but never mind.
I think the wheels are 8" wide and I think the springs are Jamex - still haven't got them fitted though but it should give about 40mm drop which will be fine for me.
Cheers

can u let me know what the ride is like when u get them fitted. i'm interested in dropping mine but don't know which way to go, spring with new front shocks (rear have been uprated with gas already) Coilovers @ 376 + fitting, or go for the whole hog n Airbags at 1950 fully fitted.

Sorry for this taking so long to reply to - springs are now fitted and i'm well pleased. Much better handling & road holding (less body roll) and still free from any rubbing off the wheels and that's just with the springs done on standard shocks.

A remap it is then. I'm propbably going to use Simon Coe who, i think, is an agent with CCCTechnology (www.ccctech.co.uk) who in turn are agents for Upsolute. I've been in touch with Simon a while ago (he covers the North East and Yorkshire i think) and he'll come to my home to do it all for about the 300 mark. I've only heard good reports about Simon so i'll be getting back in touch with him as soon as funds permit.
