Hi I have had the following fault codes come up recently:

01375

00575

Could anyone please tell me what they are and what they mean?

Thank you.

Not sure off the top of my head but if you google them with 'vcds' in the search too you'll get the pages on vcds website with explanations

01375 - Valves for Engine Mounting: Stage 1

01375 - Valves for Engine Mounting: Stage 1: Output won't Switch or Short to B+

Possible Symptoms
## Electro-Hydraulic Engine Mounts permanently hard

Possible Causes
## Valves for Engine Mounting faulty
## Wiring/Connectors from/to Valves for Engine Mounting faulty

Possible Solutions
## Check Valves for Engine Mounting
## Check Wiring/Connectors from/to Valves for Engine Mounting

Category: Fault Codes

00575 - Intake Manifold Pressure: Control Limit Not Reached

Possible Symptoms
## Sudden complete loss of Power
## Reduced Power

Possible Causes
## Hoses incorrect connected, disconnected, blocked or leaking
## Pressure Unit for Turbo Charger defective
## Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75) defective

Possible Solutions
## Check Hoses
## Check Pressure Unit for Turbo Charger
## Check Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75)
## Check Basic Setting > MVB 011

00575 - Intake Manifold Pressure: Control Limit Exceeded

Possible Symptoms
## Sudden complete loss of Power
## Reduced Power
## Charge Pressure too High

Possible Causes
## Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75) defective
## Turbo Charger defective

Possible Solutions
## Check Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75)
## Check Basic Setting > MVB 011

00575 - Intake Manifold Pressure: Control Difference

Possible Symptoms
## Reduced Power

Possible Causes
## Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75) defective
## Hoses incorrect connected, disconnected, blocked or leaking
## In 1Z/AHU engines, stuck/rusted wastegate or actuator.

Possible Solutions
## Check Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75)
## Check Hoses
## In 1Z/AHU engines, clean rust scale off wastegate/actuator to allow lever to move.

Special Notes

It is not uncommon for a TDI to set Implausible Signal Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) faults and/or Boost Pressure, Intake Manifold Pressure faults when the engine performance is reduced due to excessive restrictions in the intake or exhaust systems. Restricted Catalytic Converters will directly affect turbocharger operation.

Wow thanks bez101, it looks like these faults have intermittently been present for a while, whilst looking through my service history before I took ownership I found these:

Stored Engine electronics fault codes (27/08/09):

00542 needle lift sensor G80 open circuit/short circuit to B+ sporadic.
00575 intake manifold pressure, value above upper control limit.

New sensor fitted part number 4z7941286c also injector number 3 replaced

The needle lift sensor fault seems to pop up on a few services.

Also found this one (25/10/10): 01375 Engine mounting valve-stage 1 output does not switch/short circuit to B+ intermittent.

I'm really hoping the problem is the solenoid valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75) and not a defective turbo as the injector needle sensor is going to cost me a few quid as it is (different thread), it was replaced about 5 years ago, do they normally break so soon?

The car has suddenly lost power once 2 years ago and once about a week ago, both times within a minute of starting and both times whilst trying to overtake (not ragging it as the engine was still cold) so I have ended up embarrassingly along side them.

By the way thank you also the other mrnice!
