Drivers door lock

Hi guys,


another quick question, as my last post has come to the conclusion of drivers door module failure. When swapping does the new lock have to be the same code also does it have to be the drivers door lock?

It does need to be the drivers door lock.
Try and hit the part number if possible.

Ok thank you. When I open the rear driver door the dashboard says the drivers door is open. Could this be another issue or as the fact the drivers door isn't working could be causing that fault.

Coudl be rubbing wires. Have you checked for water in your footwell? (I can't remember)

yeah no water in footwell, well ill change the drivers door lock. If it fixes the faults ill be happy if not ill check for wires broken/rubbing.

It's a little more difficult to check the wiring on the A6 than the A4. But a worthy job.
