Radio signal too low

I noticed that my radio (1998 A6 C5 2.5tdi) has very low radio signal, even in town. First time I checked the antenna cable to be plugged it, but it was fine. I also checked the antenna itself and looks fine to the naked eye. I took it down and the connector seem fine too.

Does this model has any radio signal amplifier? If yes, where is located and how can I check it?

i had this once with a none audi oem stereo where one of the wires had come off the board which maby just see if the wire or conecter is loose at all, easy fix if you are handy with a soldering iron, worth a look but prob be something else, also crosion on the areal conection
