Key fob re-sync :-(

just changed my battery(s) in my fob now it wont work, tried the very ambiguous handbook how to and still no luck, it says hold any button and turn key in door, for how long!!? lol. fortunately im at work and checked fob on a scope and all buttons are transmitting ok.

Done mine last week. I put the key into the drivers door lock, pressed button as would normally to lock car, then turn the key to lock the car.
