Is there a difference between these two TCMs?

Part numbers are the same but the letters are different at the end. What does this signify?

Numbers are:
4B0927156CH
4B0927156L

The car in question is a C5 A6 4.2Q

Coding refers to software load for each box type/engine setup.

Think yours should be 5 speed Auto?

Yeah it's a 5 Speed Tip. The part currently fitted is the one ending CH. I've now seen various others, but all with different letters on the end. I'm trying to figure out if only the CH TCM will work or if there's another option.
