can anyone tell me how to get access to change the front indicator bulb ?

I've taken the inner cover off, this gives access to the headlamp bulbs, but the indicator bulb is mounted further to the side

Unless you have fingers of miniscule proportion, and about 10 inches long, there's no access to the bulb.

Do you need to remove the whole headlamp assy from the front - if so, the top two fasteners are easy, but how do you release the bottom of the headlamp assy.

Please don't tell me it's a bumper off job !!

PS the cars an 05 A6 avant (non-xenon lights) if this helps.

thanks for any advice.

the indicators are on an extended flat bit about 3 inches long and 1.5inches wide, which is not in the cover it's next to it, simple turn 90degrees and it pops out, is a bit of a bitch to turn and get at tho!

thanks for that

did the job today

I never realised that the indicator bulb was outside of the housing for the headlamp bulbs.
