Friends A6 Cuttiung Out and Erratic Idle

Any common fault on the a6. I think its a 1.8T. Got to check with him, but he asked last night (all drunk) so forgot to get details.

Any help guys would be appreciated. Also I have posted on VagCom as he lives in Coventry. Suggested a good specialist would be better than steeler but I don't know any.

Can anyone help.
