gearbox ecu part numbers !

I was just wondering if i bought a gearbox ecu with all the same numbers but the last two letters different would it work?
my numbers are 4B0 927 156 DN all the letters up to the DN are correct however the ones i have seen have different letters BH on one of them. Its of the same year make and model but just wanted to make sure .

Thanks once again typhoon .
Had a problem with the plenum chamber flooding and the water comming into the car diverside footwell just damp but the rear one was like a swimming pool .I have dried it all out and tok the gearbox ecu out of the car opened it and left it in a bag of rice to dry last week.
I put it back in yesterday and it seems to be behaving so hope fully problem solved .(its not slapping into gear any more )
I have sorted the grommets out in the plenum chamber (what a joke they are ) and tested before putting it all back together .
Checked a mates on thursday and you could have kept a goldfish in it .lol
Left car running with the air con on for about 2 hours yeaterday and got the soundproofing quite dry will have to repeat this over the next few day .

Mine had fish (or a similar bug) swimming in it.
Keep smelling screen wash and suspecting it full again but last clean out seems to have worked.
