2000 A6 2.8 Quattro engine problem

Does anyone know the source of this problem from these symptons? If so, what solution is recommended, and what are the approximate repair costs?

Check engine light is on.
Car when reversing will jolt suddenly when shifting to drive.
No power in first gear.
Tiptronic does not appear to be working.

Car has 58,000 miles and has these other unrelated problems. Driver window that sticks at 75% up then reverses, and rapid dashboard display pixel loss. Are these common problems at this age & mileage, and are there inexpensive fixes?

No idea about the power problem, but the window probably just needs lubricating on the runners. At the moment it's trying to shut, finding too much resistance so auto lowers as it thinks something may be stuck in the opening.

With regard to the DIS, on older A4's it's known for the pixels to fade in warm weather.
