Bargain or Lemon?

Hi everybody, been looking to change my A4 1.9TDi for an A6 1.9TDI and have found what might be a good 'un or might be the opposite!!

I've found a garage selling a A6 1.9TDi SE on a R 1998 plate with 98000 miles on the clock and an asking price of £4495.

It has Audi history apart from a 2 year gap between late 1999 and early 2002.

Am I completely wrong or is this a bit on the low side (pricewise)?

Seems a lot to me for that year, i paid £3300 private for a 98 s tdi with 145000 miles and patchy history.

As said if ur keen get it checked by rac/aa and see if u can get it for nearer the 4k mark.
