Had my car into the garage I bought it from a few weeks to get the front wheel bearings replaced as there was a lot of noise coming from one of them. I now have abs, esc, engine management lights on aswell as having no speedo and the handbrake not working. the guy said it was because the bearings might not have a magnetic strip missing from them which sounds rubbish to me.

Anyway does anyone have any idea what they could have done to cause all these errors as they don't seem to have a clue, I'm thinking they have knacked a sensor or something but not sure where to start. I will obviously be taking it back but I need it up and running properly asap and Im thinking Im going to get messed about.

Its a 2005 A6 2.4se manual if this helps.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

they sound like muppets!
ive posted in your other thread about this.

id ring them and say you want a specialist to look at it and them to pay for it as you dont trust them to fix it. if they say no tell them you'll return the car for a full refund.

Take it back to them. Its hardly acceptable that they give you back a car that is not legally roadworthy, would fail an MOT and is dangerous.

Im sure if they plug in a simple fault code reader it would say which sensor is mucked up.

I agree with the above......no competent garage would return a customers car with these faults. Next stop is office of fair trading. Maybe contact them anyway to get an idea of what to do next, then at least you are acting within guidlines and have a leg to stand on should it all turn nasty.

Good luck mate.
