Does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit Xenon headlights on a '97 A6?

well i bought a complete set of xenon hid bulbs for £35 bargain to give the hid look and improve the brightness.

V.easy to fit, good results, very blue!

Are you on about the complete headlights? or bulbs?

Sorry, I should have been more specific, I was meaning proper Xenon HID's.

Cheers,

Jim.

Hi evomaster,

Where did you get the hid bulbs?

Are they easy to fit to A6?

I take it they are the xenon blue look bulbs.

Sorry about the questions but I would be keen to get some for my A6.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jon

I got em off ebay, they are eurodezigns ones, i would steer well clear of these tho!

I fell for them and bought a complete set, H1 H3 H7 501 for £35 incl pnp, They do come with a lifetime warranty (if u pay £3.99 for postage) (wot a con!)

They were cheap and good brightness and a good upgrade, but having had a sidelight bulb already blown when i got it, and a headlight bulb gone after 2 months!
I'm not reccommending them to anyone!

If you want a set pay a bit more and get ones which you know will last!

It may just be that i had a bad batch, but in my opinion they are a lot of hassle and now i'm just gonna screw em everytime a bulb blows as they are under warranty!

As for ease of fitting they take about 10 mins each side for headlights and about 15 mins per fog due to removal of grill slats and lens.
