Looking for a new allroad, how do I tell if it's 180bhp or 160bhp?

Hi Guys,

I'm currently looking for another TDI allroad due to my last one being written off. The insurance have actually piad me £1300 more than I paid for it so maybe I can get a newer one like an 03/04.

While browsing the net I came across the Parker's website & it had the TDI allroad down as two engines, one the 180bhp & a 160bhp model. I always thought that they were all 180 but it says that after 2003 Audi made a less powerfull 160 model alongside the 180 model.

How do I know which one I'm buying if I go for one after 2003?

Look for the power in kw, the 180Bhp should be 132kw...

Look at the sticker in the service book which details all of the options fitted to the car, this will show power in Kw. If no service book look in the spare wheel well in the boot and there should be a copy of the sticker there. Also the V5 will show the CO2 rating from which you can deduce the power and it may even state the power as part of the model description, especially for the 180 version
