this question seems to be coming up often but I have an 2006 56 a6 2.7 tdi sline quottro special edition and Iam looking at putting the new style a6/s6 led front and rear led style lights in.

First of all is this possible without changing the bumpers and does anyone no of a decent garage
in Scotland that would do this sort of thing rather than paying through the nose at an audi dealership?

Unless you want to spend serious money you can only fit the front LED lights if your vehicle already has Xenons. For legal reasons you must also have headlamp washers if you have Xenon lights. Rears are less of an issue, but you will need to make sure you get ones for the pre-face-lift model (ie before August 2009), especially if it is a saloon not an Avant

To change the front Lights (if you alreay have Xenon) you will need to change the Control Board under the Steering wheel, and if you want adaptive headlights then you will need the AFS module too. The hardest part of the job is the headlights and a little re-pinning. have a look on Audi Forum where a few of us have done this mod.

There is nobody in Scotland that i know of who can do this. But if you fancy a trip down south, there is Gareth at VW Cruise who can do this for you, but it will set you back about £1500.00
