Help - I have a 2000 a6 2.8L (engine code AHA) It has what appears to be an after run coolant pump in the line between the thermostat housing and the lower front coolant pipe. This car is not a turbo. I have not been able to find any literature or parts support for this piece. My question is A- what is it, and B- can I just remove it and replace it with hose or will this cause any damage and/or generate DTC codes?
