A6 3.0 TDI auto ........... idle speed

Hi,

what is the correct idle speed for my car?
its ticking over at 800 rpm but sounds like its running fast !

any suggestion or recommendations please

anything between 700-900 rpm is ok for the V6 engine. Its all to do with keeping the Cat warm to reduce emissions.

I have the same problem after a routine service. Also Tranny behaves funny.
