a5 3.0 tdi idle speed?

Hi peeps,

what should my A5 idle at when warmed up, as the title says its a 3.0 tdi, its a manual not that it should matter?

Currently it is running arond 900 revs which is seems higher than I remember? I thought it used to tick over around 650rpm once warmed up? surfed the net and can't get any info?

just over 600 on mine,it did once have a prob where it was idling over 1,000,a dealer/software update sorted it

About 650 here as well. It does occasionally start out at 900 now that it is getting cold, and drops down to 650 after a minute or so.

Been watching mine a bit recently. Normal idle 600-650 BUT as you start to pull away it rises to circa 950-1000 , I am told this is software inspired and designed to avoid judder on pulling away. I think it is a 3.0Tdi Quattro feature only.
