S5 prices

I made this account just out of interest really.
Basically I want my dad to get an s5. So I checked on the audi website *configured* one and it came up at 43k. Then I go to autotrader and they are 46k for 7k miles from an audi dealer.

What am I doing wrong?

spec probably, compare specs fella & also if you went to a dealer you'd be able to negotiate easily at the moment anything upto 10% discount, as many have on other cars, for you to pay them 40k for a car I can assure you people arent walking in of street in droves.

As above, you will be able to get 10% off a new one or make a silly offer on a used one. By silly, I mean knock off at least £3k from their asking price. They will say no and that they can't deal at that figure but leave them your number and they WILL call you back.

Dealers are completely overstocked at the moment (not just S5's) and cash is king at the moment with prices falling at their fastest rate ever.
