Can anyone help please?

I got in and started my car as normal this morning and my engine management/ emissions light has come on, there is no loss of power.




It's a 2010 a5 2.0tdi 170 with 70k miles.


Can anyone help me out as to the possibilities, I cannot plug it in as I don't have vcds.
