Hello,

My Wife has a 59 1st January 2010 Audi A5 Cabriolet 2.0 Tdi S-Line.
And today (1st January 2013) 3 years old the warranty has run out today !!!.

Today whilst driving down the road, the driver side temperature digit on the bottom right hand side half of the digit has disappeared on any temperature, the passenger side is fine.

I have tried turning it on and off again but no luck unfortunately.

I have emailed Audi to see if they will let me off and repair it for me free of charge although its just out of warranty.

Does anybody have any ideas please ?

That is supposed to be showing 26.0

Disappointed !

The Car was not repaired for good will, They Claim it is to expensive to repair for good will, if i would of had service history with audi they would of repaired it free of charge for good will.

I have sent a e-mail to Audi Uk about this for an appeal.

It was a long way from Manchester to Blackburn Audi just for a Car Wash anyway ! :aggressive:

Audi Uk are arguing and wont repair the car, i am arguing this case and getting managers involved now !

I couldn't of got it repaired under warranty because Audi was Closed due to the Christmas Holidays, so when they were back to work on the 2nd January i asked them to repair and i get refusal.

I will be writing to the What Car ? Magazine complaints section about Audi if they don't repair it !!!

Audi are still not paying out for the repair, i will fight this and win it !

No Luck with Audi Uk or Blackburn Audi to repair it.
I have just written a Email to Martin Sander (Head of Audi UK)
Will keep updated.

Seams a little harsh. However if you are out of warrenty theres not really much you can do. Can you get a third party to repair the LCD? I would have thought to a specialist it would be an easy repair, or even find one at a breaker?

The point is, it was under warranty when the fault occured but it couldnt be repaired as Audi was closed for Christmas so when Audi Re-open in January 2nd my warranty ran out on the 1st.
