Update in my S5 ownership / my discoveries

So, I have had my 2007 S5 for 6 months now.

I noticed a shimmy through the car / steering wheel at about 70, increasing up to 100mph.

Noticed a lot of people on boards A5OC and here talking about it actually, and followed all the options, like wheel balancing, etc.

All wheels balanced ok, but my mate at kwik fit called me over and had me look at the wheel side on on the balancing spinner thing.

One by one, every wheel was buckled!!!!!

Anyway, suffice to say, I drove it down to sheffield audi strait away and threw the keys back at them.

Yes I have had it for 6 months, and that whole time i have been complaining to them about the vibration / shimmy!

How the hell can you miss 4 buckled wheels!

Anyway, I'm in one of their A6's until it comes back, perfect.

I remember the RS6 or RS4 had issues with weak wheels, they were designed to buckle rather than damage the suspension. Trouble was they were too soft & think there may have been a recall on then...
