does any one know the spring rates or if there is a difference between the saloon and avant.

reason being ive just got hold off a complete set of s4 suspension springs and dampers, i was only after the dampers myslef but my friend has a broken rear spring on his s4 saloon and these came of an estate , and we just wondering if there were any differences in rates etc

also does anyone know the spring rates for the standard quattro sport suspension, because if he doesnt fit them i may put whole setup on mine as less than a third the miles mine has

The saloon's **** end will sit a little higher with avant rear springs, but not badly. A few people fitting RS4 suspension to their S4's noticed this.

ye theres a tiny difference on the rear springs, but given going from old busted springs to new ones is quite likely to raise it anyway, i doubt you'll notice all that much.

From memory, S4 and TQS rear springs are the same.

Front springs are different, as the TQS doesnt have a dead horse nailed to the radiator grille ;)

what about the dampers themselves? are they any stiffer etc than standard sport ones,?

also am going to do them this morning so any advice or tips would be useful guys

thanks
